I'm Shehla, the Founder of Edulinxs Club and a Montessori Educator. I have 15 years of parenting and teaching experience combined.
I'm a mum of three children, two of whom enjoyed a Montessori classroom in their early years. When enrolling my third child, the local Montessori had crazy high fees and an eight-month waiting list which I couldn't wait for. I often spent hours online looking for age-appropriate fun activities with a learning objective. It was hard, and I had no idea how to sustain a dining table full of paint and clay and keep it looking like a home! Sometimes I would spend hours searching, shopping, and preparing for activities that my children would connect with for 5 minutes and then give up. I wanted to improve my communication with my children so they knew I recognised their efforts and could help them grow their thought processes.
As my children grew, I qualified as a Montessori teacher and from a Computing career to teaching, I have never looked back. I hit a brick wall with education when schools closed in 2020, and I lost connection with my little students. I developed an online solution that helped my then-manager sustain the setting until it re-opened eight months later. The online solution was a success as parents loved the results in their children, and they experienced the warmth and teaching I delivered online. Sustaining Montessori teaching online is tricky, but I focussed on fine-motor development experiences as well as all other areas of the Curriculum, and it worked! Parents requested more private online lessons I could not provide as a loyal employee, and this is where I left my job to set up Edulinxs Club so that learning could reach every child.
Edulinxs Club is based in the UK and provides an online learning program for your preschooler to enjoy. Our Educational Presenters are UK Qualified and experienced in the classroom, and they are trained and talented with appropriate communication skills to meet your child's appetite for curiosity.
There are three areas to our learning programs.
The first is the recorded lessons taught in a classroom-style "Circle Time", where children gather to connect and share ideas. In our on-demand classes, your child uses the same activities as the teacher and manipulates them simultaneously, building neurons as they explore.
Secondly, these on-demand lessons use activities we send you digitally in an activity guide pdf. The guides include instructions, printables, objectives and further ideas with sustained shared thinking examples - something educators love!
Thirdly, we show you exactly what to do through parent guide video instructions, so you always feel confident about what to do! These are huge time savers as many of us are visual learners.
Now that's a superpower every parent/carer should have.
Honestly, I wish I had this facility when my children were preschoolers!
